We offer a huge range of open air, adventurous and educational events for families, adults and young people. These activities start from different parts of the country park, so please check your booking confirmation carefully. You'll also need to bring change for the pay and display car parks. Generally on these activities, children will need to be accompanied by an adult.

Pond Dipping Discovery
The lakes of Dinton Pastures are teeming with life. Join our Pond Dipping Discovery session to see the smallest inhabitants of the Country Park up close. Sessions are run over 4 months so you can see how the spawn and larvae grow in to amphibians and bugs. Children must be accompanied by an adult, but adults are free of charge. Ages 4+
Take a journey through the meadows and woodlands of Dinton Pastures with the rangers and discover the park's smallest inhabitants in their natural habitats. Ages 4+
Embrace the historic sport of archery in an exciting taster session. Ages 8+ or ages 6+ with an accompanying adult.
An introduction into the art of Bushcraft including: fire building and use, shelter building and open fire cooking. Ages 8+ or ages 4+ with an accompanying adult.
Bat Walk and Talk
Learn about the UK's native bats and how to detect them, then head off around the park to put your new skills into practice. Suitable for ages 12+
Spooky Night Paddle
There is a rumour that Black Swan Lake is haunted - do you dare to find out? Take part in fun and games set by the ghosts and ghouls of Dinton Activity Centre on this night-time guided paddle. Keep an ear out for things that go boo in the night! You will be six to a boat, in our very stable kata-kanus. This is a special evening for adults and children alike. Ages 4+. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
