Junior Powerboat Club

Learn the basics of powerboating or brush up on your existing skills in a relaxed and enjoyable series of afternoons.

Over this 6 week programme, students will learn to handle powerboats in a safe and controlled manner. The course follows the RYA Powerboat Level 1 with some added extras to take you beyond the basic syllabus.  This is also suitable for students who already own a powerboating qualification and want to brush up on their skills. Ages 8-16.

Teen Sailing Week Level 1

Dinton's Teen Sailing Weeks give young adults the chance to get outside and explore an new sport. During the week participants will learn the basics of Sailing, working towards the adult RYA Level 1 scheme. Suitable for ages 13 – 17.

Advanced Dinghy Sailing Week

Having completed the RYA Stage 4 course and practiced their skills at Junior Sailing Club, the advanced modules help your child to take your sailing up to the next level, covering seamanship skills. 

Pre-requisites: RYA Stage 4 with logged practice afterwards. Ages 8+.

Seamanship Skills Weekend

On this course you will learn to handle your boat in a seaman like manner. You will work on advanced Manoeuvres such as Rudderless sailing and enhance other skills and manoeuvres from RYA Level 2 or Stage 4.

Sailing with Spinnakers Weekend

This course is designed to give you a start into the world of spinnaker sailing. Guiding you through everything from rigging up a spinnaker to when and how to use it out on the water. Ideal for those looking to get some extra speed and power out of their boat. Age 16+.

Prerequisites: RYA Level 2 or 3 or equivalent experience.
