Adult courses

We're recognised by British Canoeing and the Royal Yachting Association for the quality of our watersport tuition. Our experienced and qualified instructors really enjoy passing on their expertise to new and improving sailors and paddlers. We make our courses as accessible and fun as we possibly can, whilst covering all the techniques and tactics for you to excel in your chosen sport. We also provide all the equipment you'll need, so you won't have to go shopping first, and a car parking permit for the duration of your course.

Introduction to Dinghy Sailing - Weekend

This course is the perfect introduction to the wonderful world of dinghy sailing. Working towards the RYA Level 1 certificate, you'll learn the basics of sailing small dinghies with confidence. On completion, you will be qualified to take out one of our single-handed dinghies on your own. Ages 16+

Improvers Dinghy Sailing - Weekend

Expand your sailing knowledge, skills and confidence on an Improvers Dinghy Sailing course. Following the RYA National Sailing Scheme Level 2 syllabus, you’ll learn more efficient sailing and a range of manoeuvres as well as useful theory and background knowledge. On gaining this certificate you will be able to hire out double handed sailing boats at Dinton and other RYA Training centres around the world. RYA Level 1 or equivalent experience required. Ages 16+

Courses run over a weekend.

Paddleboard Experience Day

Interested in learning how to stand up paddleboard? This one day course will get you stand up paddleboarding with ease. It will cover all the basic skills as well as improving your knowledge and paddleboarding efficiency.

Powerboat Licence

Following the RYA Powerboat Level 2 syllabus, this two-day course will give you the skills to drive and manoeuvre a powerboat competently and safely. On completion you will be awarded with a Powerboat Level 2 certificate, which is the driving licence of powerboating. No previous experience is required. Suitable for age 12+

Sailing with Spinnakers Weekend

This course is designed to give you a start into the world of spinnaker sailing. Guiding you through everything from rigging up a spinnaker to when and how to use it out on the water. Ideal for those looking to get some extra speed and power out of their boat. Age 16+.

Prerequisites: RYA Level 2 or 3 or equivalent experience.

Saturday Sailing

Reinforce and Improve your knowledge of sailing in an adults only club. You must be aged 16 and over and hold at least RYA Level 1 or Stage 2

Seamanship Skills Weekend

On this course you will learn to handle your boat in a seaman like manner. You will work on advanced Manoeuvres such as Rudderless sailing and enhance other skills and manoeuvres from RYA Level 2 or Stage 4. 


First Aid Green Cross

Emergency First Aid at work - 8 Hour

Learn the basics of land-based lifesaving skills and keep up to date with new techniques and procedures. Ages 14+

The course meets the requirements for RYA and BC Instructors.
